Anthropic Expands Global Workforce Amid Surging Demand for Claude AI Models

Anthropic announced plans to triple its international workforce and quintuple its applied AI team in response to explosive global demand for its Claude models. The AI startup revealed 80% of Claude's consumer usage now originates outside the U.S., with particularly strong adoption in South Korea, Australia, and Singapore.

Backed by Alphabet and Amazon, the $183 billion-valued company has carved a niche in AI-powered coding solutions. Its Claude large language models now serve over 300,000 business customers—a staggering increase from fewer than 1,000 in 2022. Revenue growth mirrors this trajectory, skyrocketing from $1 billion annualized run-rate in January to $5 billion by August.

The expansion will see Anthropic hire more than 100 employees across European tech hubs Dublin, London, and Zurich, while establishing its first Asian outpost. This aggressive hiring spree underscores the breakneck pace of adoption for enterprise-grade AI solutions across global markets.
